Biblical Counseling

Biblical Counseling is a method used to address the issues regarding our thoughts, motivations, attitudes, and actions that flow from the sinful selfishness of our hearts. This sin nature separates us from the presence of God. (Isaiah 59:2).
The Bible describes the heart as deceitful and desperately wicked. (Jeremiah 17:9) Biblical Counseling focuses on helping others develop a biblical view of their life and recognize the truth that guides right thinking and actions. This process begins by renewing our mind with God’s word, (Romans 12:2), with the ultimate goal being spiritual maturity. (Ephesians 4:14-15).
If you feel oppressed in your thoughts, disconnected from God or feel something is holding you back from a deeper relationship with Him, finding deliverance through Biblical Counseling may make the difference you are seeking.
As born-again believers we understand the Holy Bible as a spiritual book for spiritual beings. (2 Timothy 3:16) The Holy Bible, is the Christian's measuring rod of righteousness. When we begin to open ourselves up and apply God's Word in our life, He in turn enlightens us with His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. (Psalm 119:129-130).
The Word of God is our compass giving us the direction we need to navigate this life enroute to our eternal destination. (Psalm 119:105).
You wouldn't go to a mechanic for a heart issue or call an electrician for a water leak. Likewise, going to secular resources for answers and direction could prove devastating for our Christian walk. (Proverbs 19:20-21) Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came that we may have life and have it to the full. This God kind of life should envelop our spirit, soul and body. (Hebrews 4:12) God's desire is to touch every area of our life transforming us into the image of Christ.
I am passionate about God's Word and seeing the positive life changing effects the Bible has when we apply it in our lives.
I can testify first-hand the transformation, promises and benefits that applying God's Word has had in my life, marriage and family.
